Mona Springs

Sorry but I didn't take any pictures but this last weekend I went on a camp out to a little springs in Mona Utah. This place is really off the beaten path but it was an awesome camping spot. One of the best things about it is that it is only a half an hour drive south of Provo. Well we arrived and it was really busy because of the holiday but was still found ourselves a little camping spot with a picnic table and a fire ring. We, we being myself, Nick, Sara, Brett, And JC, set up camp and then went down for a swim. Brett showed us the infamous rope swing which nearly killed him. I guess what happened is Brett was swinging off a platform about 15 feet up in a tree down into the water and on the way down one time the rope happened to rap around his ankle. So the rope snapped his ankle and left him hanging upside down in the air, so that just his head was under water. He couldn't move because of the pain in his leg every time he moved. Luckily for him he was swinging with other people and they came and got him out of his predicament before it claimed his life.
Well we swung on the rope swing into the cool water for around an hour, trying to be a little safer then Brett was. After that was ate, played Frisbee golf, ate, ate marshmallows, talked then went to bed under a heaven of thunder clouds. Over all the trip was awesome and I would be glad to go again some time.
