A Little Ranting About School to Make Myself Feel Better
In general I would have to say that I am doing well in school. Just last week I took an civil engineering materials class and got 100 percent on my exam. The second 100 percent on an Exam in my BYU career. My English class is one that I love and I seem to be doing well in it. My D&C class is allot of fun and I think I am doing good there. My ranting comes from my Chemistry 105 class. We all have to take it, I know but it is one tough class. I just got back my latest exam and found that I got 60 percent on it. This kind of grade after all the studying I did is a blow. The thing that is keeping me in sort of good spirits is the understanding that allot of other kids got that or worse. It reminds me of my Accounting 200 class, and Calculus class, both of which I was sure I failed but found that I got B's in both after the average was calculated in. It is a hard class, competing with all the return Chem 105 students, and Chem major students whose whole lives thus far had been surrounded with Chemistry. But for the average of us, we need to just keep plugging along, doing what we can, studying when we can and in the end chances are good we will pass and never have to look back at Chem stuff again. For those of you who love Chem and it has become second nature for you, you are awesome and I am glad there are people like you who I can hire to solve those infrequent Chem problems that might arise in my chosen field of expertise.
