I am currently taking a plastics class and in it we are to do a plastics project of some kind. This means I can do it out of any type of plastic or resin. I chose to make something out of Carbon Fiber. It is a lot like fiberglass. I decided to build a violin. So I bought a violin, cut the top off it and shaped it a little differently to make it easier to fiberglass. Then I painted it and waxed it and made a fiberglass mold with it. Currently the molds are done and now this week I am going to be making the carbon fiber violin. Hopefully by next Sunday I will have that made and will just need to do some trimming, painting and assembling and then I will be done. The following are pictures that I have taken of the violin and the plastics lab up at BYU.

That looks cool. I want to see it in person when we come out this summer!
